Laminating and Encoding cards for your protection The Datacard SR300 ID card printer is a double sided printer that can laminate and encode ID cards. It prints high-quality cards with full-color, over-the-edge, single-sided printing on a variety of card materials including PVC, ABS, PET, PET-G and polycarbonate. This also protects the printhead. It can encode magnetic stripes, and contact and contactless smart cards. Security is provided by the electronic locks that protect the input cards and supplies. They control access to cards and ribbons, and the security erase feature blocks out black text on used YMCK, YMCK-K and YMCKF ribbons to protect sensitive cardholder data. You can easily load cards and color-coded ribbon cartridges. The display panel provides status information to you. You can add the optional LM300 laminator to make your ID cards secure. This protects the cards from threats and help extend card life with the optional Datacard LM300 card laminator, which applies Datacard topcoats and DuraGard laminates. Better Printing Technique
The SR300 prints on a retransfer film that is then applied to the card surface. This is beneficial for you as it protects the print head, and allows you to on a wide variety of card surfaces. You can print high-quality photo IDs on heavy-duty, non-PVC material (PET, PET-G, ABS, and polycarbonate). These are more durable than the traditional cards.
Highly Secure
After the print is complete, important information that is always left on the ink ribbon. The SR300 can erase that information using the Security Erase feature that blocks out black text on the used YMCK ribbon to protect your sensitive data from theft. The printer also utilizes IPSec encrypted networking security to secure the data transfer.
Network Connectivity
The SR300 printer gives you the option to print from any computer. You can plug it into a computer and start issuing cards in minutes. You can connect with either the USB or 10/100 Base-T Ethernet connectivity; both come standard.
Custom Lamination
The LM300 card laminator is optional in the SR300 card printer. It can laminate on any card surface in the landscape configuration to maximize supply yield. The laminate and the topcoat is applied after the card is printed and is specifically formulated to maximize the security and durability of the ID card. You can choose from a variety of clear and custom holographic laminate choices.
